The Fall of Video Games

This post is highlighting the 2 games I am most excited about this fall.

What you say this is a misleading title?

Title 1:

Need for Speed: Most Wanted

Particularly on Vita

Right now it shows that it will have the same open world that the console counter parts have. If so SAWEEEET!

Title 2:

Borderlands 2

Do I need to say more?

As always I an thechydude and you just found more of my faves.

Leapin’ Joysticks!

2 Awesome things for you on this Wednesday.

First- Leap Motion

This is the new standard for motion input. Super accurate, super small and surprisingly inexpensive.
Comming out this holiday for just $79

Second- Motion Joy

If you play games on a computer, you know that some of them are designed for use with the Xbox 360 gamepad.

If your like me you don’t want to spend money in getting the wireless controller adapter for windows, or get an extra wired controller you don’t need, but you have a Dualshock 3 controller lying around your house.

I know an unlikely situation.

Solution: Download Motion Joy’s DS3 Tool
(Link takes you to download page.)

This lets you use your Dualshock 3 controller as an Xbox360 gamepad on you PC or Mac.

Hope you enjoyed today’s Chy’s Faves.

Until next time

Friday’s Retro on Saturday (Awesomeness = Crash Bandicoot)

One of my most favorite video game franchises of all time is Crash Bandicoot. While he has some games on the current gen consoles, personally I think his best games were on the PS1.  Naughty Dog was the company that created Crash back in his glory days and has gone on to make excellent games like the Uncharted series and the upcoming The Last of Us. But now Crash is owned by Activision, the famed Publisher of Call of Duty.

My thought of the day is when will Activision reboot this awesome series?

Just a thought

First Double Post Day! (Awesomeness = Paper Towels)

So for the bonus today I have a way to save on using paper towels.

I have been using this trick for a little over a month, and it works.

Now I’m not trying to revolutionize everything you ever do, but this does get your hands drier than using multiple towels and it helps on waste.

And after that life changing awesomeness, don’t forget to Follow me on Twitter so you can get updates on when I post new Chy’s Faves.

Learn ya Something on a Thursday (Awesomeness = Science Show)

But you are thinking it is summer, I don’t learn during the summer. Well you sir or mam or other are wrong. My favorite today is the channel Scishow on YouTube. They deliver a couple of episodes a week keeping you on top of science in the news and all done in an interesting manner. The video below explains why there won’t be an apocalypse this year.

I hope you enjoyed this edition of Chy’s Faves and there may be an extra today.

Free Stuff on Wednesday?!?! (Awesomeness = Triple Town)

For my first Wednesday post, I’m gonna make it FREE!!!

My fave today is Triple Town.

This game is easy to learn, but hard to master. (Cliche right?) You start off simple 3  grass = a bush, 3 bush= a tree and so on until you get floating castles and gold.

Best part about the game… It’s free.  Oh and you can play it on iOS, Android, and Facebook, or Google+ if you are into that.

Download to:

Android via Google Play

iOS via iTunes

Play Free via:

Facebook

Google+

Did I mention it was Free?

What is this?!? (Awesome = Humble Indie Bundle V)

Welcome to Chy’s Faves.  This is the spot where I share my favorite items across the web.  I hope you enjoy what I share.  To kick off the faves we have  The Humble Bundle.  The Humble Indie Bundle V is currently up for grab and it includes the games Superbrothers: Swords and Sorcery, Limbo, Amnesia: The Dark Decent, & Psychonauts.

What awesome about it?

Proceeds go to charity, games are DRM free, and you pay what you want

What’s better?

Pay more than $1 you get codes to download through Steam. Pay more than average* and you get extra games such as Bastion, Lone Survivor, Braid, and Super Meat Boy.

Go check it out @ Humble Bundle

I hope you consider donating some money, get some awesome games, and help out children in need.

But hurry you only have until 6pm June 14th to help these awesome charities and developers out!
